ComicDrive help

ComicDrive reads comics and manga from wherever you already keep them: a folder on your phone or SD card, Google Drive and other cloud storage, a NAS or a shared folder on your computer, or an OPDS server such as Komga or Kavita. Every comic opens in the same reader and remembers where you stopped.

The app is free with every feature included. There is no account, no analytics and no crash reporting in the app; ComicDrive connects to the sources you add yourself and to Google Play, for the supporter offer and the rating dialog.

In the app, Learn more in the About Library Storage dialog opens this list. New in 3.06

ComicDrive opens CBZ, CBR, CB7, CBT and PDF files. A plain ZIP or RAR file opens like a CBZ or CBR.

An archive may hold further archives, such as a ZIP of chapter CBZs, up to three levels deep. ComicDrive reads them as one comic as long as the unpacked comic stays below 4 GiB and at least 500 MiB of storage stay free while it unpacks. Comics from an OPDS catalog are read the way the server lists them, without unpacking inner archives.

Not supported:

  • folders of loose images, one image file per page
  • password-protected PDFs, which are skipped
  • RAR sets split into parts (.part1.rar, .part2.rar, …)

Troubleshooting explains the app’s error messages and what to do about them. The FAQ answers the questions people ask most.
